Hi there! Nice to meet you!Hi, I'm Bob, . . . my family call me Bobby!
(I'll be Bobby until I'm 93). I used to be in ministry as a Pastor, for me it was not a job but a life calling, an opportunity for me to encourage and challenge others, as they encouraged and challenged me. This website/blog is an new opportunity for me to look at life through my eyes as a senior and to share those experiences. Only a senior can truly understand another senior, lol). May much laughter, much encouragement, many spiritual insights from God's word (the Bible), and a few tears of understanding and recognition be the rule of the day in the seasons ahead. Spiritual Thought
“At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you. Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.” (2 Chronicles 7:13–15, NLT)

Encouragement
The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated.

A valuable insight from Charles Swindoll a pastor and writer,
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church....a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes.”

Something about me as a person . . . they say, I have to include this! You know them, . . . they are the ones who love us and want us to do it right!
I like to paint . . . watercolours, acrylics . . . oils!
Trying to develop a healthy lifestyle with my diet and exercise!
Now this is going to take some time, lol. . . just being real! |
I love to read, (as a life-long learner, who is a generalist, eclectic, with broad spectrum likes) and study the Bible, as well as, analyze the effectiveness of systems and structures; so I enjoy puzzles and challenges!
Favorite questions, "why" and "how". I drove my teachers' nuts! I don't know what this is for, but it looks healthy!
